Half Term Checklist

This is a list of all the things that should, by now, be on your blog. The following are things for you to do over half term:

       1. Key scene scripts (x3)
       2. Prop lists
       3. Location descriptions with photographs and links to your key scenes
       4. Film logo designs (x3 hand drawn designs for your production company)

DEADLINE: Wednesday 5th November

Same rules apply with sanctions so no more red marks on the spreadsheet!

Key Scenes... What's next?

Today you will use your key scene outlines to create short scripts for three of the scenes. Write scripted scenes for these (not for your trailer!)

Look at the links on my blog for good examples of scripting and reflect on the scripts you wrote for Mr Farr in the summer term.

Upload your scripts and share these with your group members.

Final Blog update...

Well done! Look at the progress you have made!

Remember your character profiles for Monday. Key scenes also need to be uploaded before our next lesson. We don't want anymore red...

Have a nice weekend!

Blog Progress Update

Well done! A massive improvement already. This just goes to show how vital it is keeping your blogs up to date. It is really important that you don't just upload stuff. Posts need the following:

  • Clear and relevant title;
  • A summary of what the post is;
  • Reflection on how this has been developed from previous research and planning.

Blog Progress

Below is your progress so far:

This is as of 14th October so your Film Treatment and Audience Feedback don't have to be in until tomorrow.

It is your responsibility to see me, show me completed tasks and get me to turn them green on the spreadsheet. If I've missed something, just let me know and the red will go.

There shouldn't be this much missing. So, if things are not up to date and on your blog by Thursday's lesson (16th October) here's what will happen:

2 red marks - verbal warning and updated by the end of the day.
3-4 red marks - persistent failure to meet deadlines means a yellow card.
5-6 red marks - a yellow card and phone call home to arrange catch up next week.
7+ red marks - meeting with your parents arranged.

Remember... you need to see me with any updates! Keep blogging!

Audience feedback on your pitches

Now that you have completed your pitches and they are embedded on your blogs you need to present them to five members of your target audience.  You need to select a range of people in terms of the demographics of your audience.

You will need to present your pitches to them and then ask them a series of questions about what they think of your ideas.  The questions need to be consistent for each of the people you ask.

You will need to film their responses and post these onto your blog as well as a summary/ analysis of your findings.

This needs to be completed by Wednesday 15th October
